Hold the Cheese

So I assume by now you have noticed how TJ likes to 'cheese' it up for the camera...

Well, I thought you might like to see she does have a more innocent/serious side to her as well.

What Nice Manners!

This morning we were at sensory gym. During snack time, TJ opened up her mouth after getting her plate and said, "thank you Bec-buuuurp-cky." We all looked at her with shock. What 2 year old burps someone's name? Only my daughter.

Not to be outdone...

We were hanging out tonight just before bedtime and all of a sudden Noah farted. He immediately said, "skew me" and smiled. It was the absolute cutest thing! It completely caught us off guard.

Pink It Is

Apparently pink is THE color to have in our house which is so funny since I am SO not the typical "pink" girl. I like to get dressed up now and then but I haven't been a frilly, pink, girly girl for quite some time. To piggyback on the Noah and his pink hat fetish, I have a TJ pink story. We took the kids to Babies R Us the other night to get some odds-n-ends. On our way to the check out , I remembered that I wanted to grab a few extra crib sheets. I was planning on just getting some white ones but little Ms. TJ kept saying, "pink, peas? mama, want pink peas?" Who could turn down someone so cute and with such nice manners?! So I grabbed the pink sheets after confirming with my 2 year old that she indeed wanted the pink sheets. I handed them to her as I usually do items at the store since she likes to put them in the shopping cart for me. However, Kevin quickly whispered, "Jill, look." There was TJ in the cart hugging, yes hugging, the sheets! It was just too cute!

Pretty in Pink?

So you might have noticed Noah's fondness for pink. It might be pink hats or his pink sunglasses but the boy loves his pink. (Purple too! Wouldn't his Grandma Elliott be excited!)
Well, just when one might begin to get a bit worried, an interesting span of events occurred. Poor Noah is getting through a bit of a nasty cough/cold. So last night he wakes up around 2:30am crying and moaning for, you guessed it, Mommy. So I go in to see what's going on and he is clutching a toy plastic bottle of steak sauce. He goes to stand up and I take the bottle and put it down in his crib whereupon he freaks a bit. So I give it back to him. He proceeds to cuddle with me while grasping his steak sauce bottle. I tried to help him grab his water by holding the steak sauce for him to no avail. THAT wasn't happening! Needless to say, when I put him back down a bit later, he cuddled up with his plastic steak sauce bottle and drifted off to the land of meat and honey. Then today, he happened to walk in as I was getting dressed. (Warning: what you are about to read might cause you to lose whatever food you might have recently enjoyed. Please continue with caution.) Sorry about the bad visual but I was only dressed from the waist down. So he looks up at me and says, "momma touch boobs?" Uh, yeah. Let's just say the pink hats are the least of our concerns. :o)

Smarty Pants

So the kids are amazing everyone that has worked with them. We are still seeing an occupational therapist once a week to ensure the kids are developing correctly. Every time she is here she is just astounded at the things they do on their own. Noah is now counting with his blocks and knows numbers up to 10 and tries to go beyond at times! He sings the alphabet song and gets about 70% of the letters! They are talking up a storm! Big phrases and all! (Not sure where they get the gift of gab from though.) Both kids know their colors although Noah is better at it than TJ since he knows there's something to it. TJ is like, "why do I need to tell you the color? You know you know what it is, MOM. I mean come on!" Somewhere my mom is getting the BIGGEST chuckle out of all this. I know, I gave her enough trouble and what goes around comes around. I'm not complaining at all.

TJ will drive Kevin to baldness real soon I feel. The girl has absolutely NO FEAR of things. Scares Kevin to death! Definitely keeps me on my toes!

Until later!

OK!

Well, I am giving the "blog" world a shot. We'll see how long I can last at this while keeping it entertaining! If you have ideas/tips, please let me know!
